Carteret Mortgage

Carteret Mortgage was originally created in Virginia in 1991 as WEINCO Inc, a family company owned solely by Eric Weinstein.  In 1995, its name was changed to Carteret Mortgage Corporation, and received a Virginia Mortgage Broker License.  As of 2002, Carteret Mortgage worked in all fifty states and Washington, DC.  Carteret is not a subsidiary or parent of any other company.  Their corporate strategy is to work with a few well-trained, well-paid employees and take advantage of technological advancements to offer clients lower rates.

Carteret Mortgage has many mortgages to choose from if you are planning to build your home.  Their Construction-to-Permanent Loan covers all the financing you will need to build your home and live in it.  This tidily wrapped package is helpful because you won’t have to apply for another loan after your home is built, and you will only pay one set of closing fees.  Their Lot Loan lets you buy the piece of land you plan to build your home on.  This loan is good for primary or secondary residences, and Carteret will help you apply for your Construction –to-Permanent Loan when you are ready.  They have Remodeler Loans for people who want to spruce up their homes.  This loan will allow you to add a room, renovate the bathroom, or make your kitchen a little bigger.  The Bridge Loan can help you come up with a down payment for your Construction-to Permanent Loan.  This loan allows you to use equity in your old home, even if it is on the market.  Finally, Carteret offers the Builder Spec Loan.  This loan is for builders, and will finance their next project.
