Credit Union of Texas

Credit Union of Texas, more than 150,000 members strong, ranks among one of the top 100 credit unions in the United States when it comes to assets.  The charter for this success and prosperous co-operative was granted to a small group of Dallas teachers in 1931. They began business with only $65.00 in assets.  Credit Union of Texas is proud to serve customers in all fifty states. 

Those who are eligible to become members of Credit Union of Texas include: persons who live or work in Dallas, Collin, or Rockwall Counties, no matter where they are employed; persons who live or work in the Lewisville, Red Oak, and Midlothian Independent School Districts; students attending an institution of higher learning in Dallas, Collin, and Rockwall Counties; and school related associations and organizations created to serve or assist public or private schools. In addition, a list of other companies and organizations whose employees are eligible for membership is available.

Although Credit Union of Texas has many conveniently located ATM machines available in its service area, there are also shared branches throughout the United States where credit union members can go to deposit or withdraw funds, transfer money, make loan payments and buy Traveler’s Checks and Money Orders and get cash advances.  Members can also obtain up-to-date account information at these locations.

Some of the services offered at the Credit Union of Texas are: online banking, bill pay, 24/7 telephone teller, investment, IRA services, and credit card programs.  In addition, they also offer a number of loan programs including home equity lines of credit, new and used car loans, recreational vehicle loans and many more.  Also, Credit Union of Texas has joined forces with Credit Union Members Mortgage so it can offer its customers more than 150 different mortgage loan programs.

What Credit Union of Texas Offers the Community

Credit Union of Texas is proud to sponsor many events and programs to further advance the education, financial stability and overall health in the Dallas/Fortworth area they serve.  Among these are the Pintail Youth Ranch for disadvantaged males from single-parent and no-parent households, Taste of Plano, and a scholarship program all members of the credit union can apply for if they wish to further their education.
